Slowing Down to Run Faster can be thought of as the revised and expanded edition of my first book, The Art of Slowing Down (Panenthea, 2010). The changes, collectively resulting in 100 additional pages, include:

  1. New Postscript which serves to underscore problems that inevitably arise when experts lean too heavily on either the limited field of biomechanics or our limited ability to accurately and precisely imitate other people’s running form.
  2. Significantly enlarged lesson catalogue: Along with revising and expanding thirteen of the original lessons, I have added seven entirely new ones, six of which comprise a new series called, “Metatarsals to Metacarpals.”
  3. Significant edits to Chapters 9 and 16.
